I purchased several panels, inverters, and batteries from Bimble last year, and I must say, their communication was top-notch through both email and phone. The batteries took a bit longer to get here, but that’s just how the industry rolls. Every time I reached out, I received an update. When I asked for priority shipping to help with my own logistics, they sent it out right on schedule.

"Service Left Me Disappointed"
I got a damaged panel from Bimble, and it was all because of poor packing. The panel was just in a cardboard sleeve with a tiny strip of tape holding it. They told me I’d have to cough up £25 for an excess fee before they’d even think about swapping the panel out. Plus, I’d be on the hook for the collection and delivery costs, which I wouldn’t know until I paid that £25. After I pointed out that their terms don’t trump my rights as a consumer, I decided to pick up the new panel myself. So, I didn’t have to pay the excess, but I had to make a trip to get what I should’ve received in the first place.
I had been recommending Bimble to folks before since they seemed to have a solid reputation, but now, looking at the reviews and my own experience, it’s clear that their standing is taking a hit. Bimble tried to pin the blame on the courier for the damage, but honestly, it was the packaging that was the real issue.

I placed my order for the Epever solar charge controller on Monday after 3pm, and it showed up the very next day! :) The customer service was super, and a big shoutout to Lady Laura for being so helpful and professional with me. "Lack of Phone Support"
The biggest problem I face is their reluctance to chat with customers over the phone. A quick question about the right equipment that could be cleared up in just 5 minutes on a call turns into a long email back-and-forth. It's super easy for things to get misunderstood through email, and more questions usually pop up. I get that they're swamped, but hey, I'm busy too, and I still make the effort to call.

"Five Stars: A Solar Company You Can Count On When Times Get Tough"
I've placed four orders with Bimble Solar in the past couple of weeks, including a Victron Quattro inverter that just arrived today. There was a slight delay on my first order since it had a bunch of different items, and I was aware that one was out of stock. The other orders, though, were shipped out pretty fast. With the recent surge in solar demand, finding 4kw Victron inverters has been a real challenge. I ended up canceling orders with three other companies that all claimed to have stock but were just blowing smoke, and they had no clue when they could actually deliver anything.
Bimble Solar is the only one that delivered as promised, and they're one of the few I've encountered lately who are straight-up about their inventory.
I highly recommend them; they really came through when sourcing solar gear has been tough.

I've gotten part of my order so far without any problems. I reached out to customer service, and they were super helpful with the delivery details.
Those folks griping about customer service here are likely the same ones who take forever at the Screwfix checkout instead of just reading the product info.

"Completely ineffective post-purchase support..."
Completely ineffective post-purchase support for the inverter I got. It took me a month to install it, and when issues arose, I was informed that there’s only a 14-day return policy. I've faced problems with these lousy Epever products twice now. Just steer clear, folks!

I had a positive experience with Bimblesolar during March and April, especially given the current demand in the renewables market. They were clear about what was available and communicated really well. Grant was super helpful in splitting my order to keep my project moving while I waited for other components to arrive. I'm already a returning customer and might just swing by again soon.

"Bimble Delivers Again!"
I've shopped with Bimble Solar a few times now, and they've been amazing every single time. The pre-sales help was top-notch, and I really appreciate Laura for taking the time to understand my needs, going over the options, and clarifying what I actually needed and why. We had to create a custom kit for my narrowboat, and now I'm reeling in the energy even in December. The delivery was quick and safe, and their after-sales support was right there when I required it. "Lousy Customer Service"
Lousy customer service. I made a weekend order for some batteries, but it got cancelled on Monday without a word from them. It was strange since they appeared to have plenty in stock. After all the time I spent searching for the best price, I figured they’d at least say sorry for the hassle they put me through. I ended up taking my £1200 to another place and bought my batteries there. Losing a £1200 sale really shows they lack business savvy.

Truly outstanding service. I chatted with a wonderful sales lady named Laura. She inquired about my requirements and in just 10 minutes set up a shopping cart with all the items I could possibly want. It was sent directly to my email, all set for me to buy. I was looking for some help and wanted to buy a couple of solar panels. I called up, got connected right away, chatted with a person who really got what I was after, and finalized my order. I placed an order for two panels at 12:05, and by 12:24 the following day, my items arrived. I wouldn't hesitate to suggest this supplier to others.
"Solar Power Setup for Campervans"
When I approached Grant at Bimble Solar, I was totally clueless about solar energy and campervan electrical systems, especially for our 2007 T5 transporter. Grant was incredibly helpful, sending me numerous emails over several weeks to make sure I was fully satisfied with the setup he recommended before I made a purchase. He even connected me with a local installer in Brighton, who did an amazing job at a reasonable price. I would highly suggest Bimble to anyone in the market for a solar system for their camper or motorhome.
